About the job

In this role, you will be the liaison between local communities here in Austria and RHI Magnesita Headquarters in Vienna. Within our commitment to reaching our ESG goals, you will play a crucial role to build up and maintain connections with local communities in and around Vienna. In order to advance the mission and goals of RHI Magnesita’s community strategy, you are responsible for communicating with the local communities and supporting them with their requests. You will drive and implement programs, plans, and measurable goals to support RHI Magnesita’s current and future efforts in community engagement, philanthropy and social impact worldwide.

In addition, your tasks will include

• Managing initiatives, reporting results, and making recommendations based on risk mitigation, brand building, reputation, community impact, and other factors
• Collaborating with partners to ensure effective community engagement activities to maximize brand, growth, employee experience, and social impact objectives
• Looking for opportunities involving employee volunteer programs that support the community and engage colleagues in meaningful ways
• Managing onsite community-related projects and events in partnership with Marketing, Public Relations & Communications

With your great enthusiasm and creative mindset, you bring new ideas to the table, not only as an individual but also together with your colleagues. You work well in cross-functional teams and are not afraid to take responsibility and make decisions. With your hands-on mentality, structured approach and analytical skills, you proactively seek to improve the status quo. You see change as something positive, can adapt quickly and you like to courageously help shaping the future of RHI Magnesita.

What we expect from you in terms of

Education & Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree (or ongoing studies), ideally in the fields of sustainability, community relations, communication or similar
• Experience in working with MS Office & databases, social media platforms, and maintaining intranet sites
• Experience in project and/or event management
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to act as an interface towards management, employees, corporate staff, and external partners
• Graphic design and/or video editing skills are an asset

Languages

• English – proficient/fluent
• German – proficient/fluent

Work Experience

• First relevant working experience (e.g. internships)

The annual gross salary for this position will start from € 45.000,00 on a full-time basis, depending on your qualification and experience, as well as the amount of overtime and your level of seniority. We will make sure to offer you a competitive salary package that values your relevant background and that’s in line with market values.
