You also have the drive to offer our customers the best solution. You can conduct professional service discussions with our transport partners.


You feel comfortable in frequently interacting with all regional transportation teams in South America, North America, Europe, Asia to govern & implement the envision strategies.

In addition, you:


  • Have 8 years of operational experience in international logistics and transportation management; preferably as a hands on professional.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistic management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a team environment that required varying leadership and managerial skill sets
  • Have exceptional communication skills & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and implementation of continuous improvement practices.
  • Proficient in Excel skills with the ability to turn large amounts of data into effective decision-making tools
  • Have knowledge of ERP (SAP R/3) and (Transport Management Systems) TMS systems
  • Are fluent in English


About the job


We require a professional to manage our inter-company shipments and imports from China to the other parts of the company in Americas, Europe and India. This will require strong leadership in a tough market with continuous logistics challenges.

Your tasks will include:

Freight Purchasing:

  • Support of freight tenders
  • Purchasing of freights on spot market according to purchasing guideline
  • Close cooperation with Global Purchasing in terms of network designs and new projects
  • In close cooperation with procurement and other stakeholders establishing the global transportation strategy for air, ocean and road freight


Freight Handling:

  • Responsible for tracking and following up on continuous improvement and/or corrective measures identified through best practice sharing by day-to-day operations or quarterly business reviews.
  • Organization of sea-, land- and container transports in terms of guidelines of the load security and other special requirements (dangerous goods guidelines, waste transports of recycling materials, documents ANNEX VII)
  • Communication with warehouses and plants
  • Support and handling of transport issues and complaints (e.g. pallets exchange)
  • Work with regional transportation teams and global freight forwarder contacts on resolving systemic transportation service issues
  • Partner with regional transportation teams and freight forwarders to meet overall delivery of service, quality and cost goals established on an annual basis.
  • Develop partnerships with freight forwarders that promotes a clear understanding of their capabilities by region



Freight reporting:

  • Verification of extra costs (demurrage, storage, container cleaning etc.)
  • Provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.
  • Partner with regional transportation teams to establish global metrics and sub metrics as well as BI/visibility tool for delivery of these metrics



Process & Quality Management:

  • Handling and coordination of transport claims, claim management and trouble shooting


General Management:

  • Be instrumental in the TMS projects focusing on aligning all business stakeholder’s transportation related processes.
  • Help define Transportation KPI’s, procedures and setup governance for different regions and departments
  • Work to effectively drive out transportation costs through creative opportunities within the global supply chain.
