About you

You have experience working closely in heavy industrial environments with the ensure refractory products are being utilized/installed appropriately in accordance with prescribed guidelines. You have experience partnering and working alongside with the customers, and working closely with leadership to improve sales turnover, support inventory management, identify problems (troubleshooting), and address customer product concerns.


  • 2-5 years of experience in steel or refractory industry required
  • 3-5 years of experience understanding Continuous Caster Practices required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Materials Science degree is preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP, MS office, Designs in CAD just to check drawings preferred
  • Proven experience in building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Must be comfortable in dealing with customers from all levels
  • Independent worker and self-starter, who contributes to the overall team objectives
  • Hands on, forward thinking, and improvement/results driven
  • Works effectively and collaboratively, including clear written and verbal communications


About the job

We are seeking a strategic and customer oriented Marketing & Solutions Specialist to focus on the Flow Control/continuous casting process of Steel making.  Our Technical Market Specialist will assist sales in obtaining or retaining customer accounts by selecting materials and product designs based on customer’s requirements and practices, offering new and innovative products, monitoring trials, and liaising between sales, manufacturing, Product Management and on-site employees.

As a Technical Marketing Specialist your tasks will include:

  • Acts as an interface between Sales, on-site employees, Product Management and Management
  • Customer service including on site monitoring of service trials, troubleshooting, fact finding etc.
  • Create trail reporting outlining product performance, trail results and any additional recommendations
  • Provide product recommendations and perform audit trails
  • Selecting materials and product designs based on customer’s requirements and practices.
  • Customer visits with Sales to check the performance of our products at our customer locations to ensure proper performance and treat any issues.
  • Faciliate hands on training to employees demonstrating product applicaiton.
