About you

Leading a team to success excites you! As part of our Project Management team within our Refractory Installation Services function, you will focus on ensuring your team of tradespersons complete all tasks and process in a timely manner and to a high-quality standard. You have strong interpersonal skills and can build professional relationships with your team that are based on respect and performance. You are mobile and will be comfortable to travel up to 75% of your time for this role where you will work on our customer sites across the US

 

In addition, you have:

  • Good understanding of Industrial Construction Project process
  • Knowledge of refractory materials and applications considered an asset
  • 5+ years in the refractory installation or construction sector required
  • Practical understanding of the analysis of engineering drawings and tenders/RFP’s
  • Ability to proficiently use e-mail, Microsoft Office 365 specifically Microsoft Project & Excel to
  • Strong Team Management and Leadership for a team of skilled trades and employees, ensuring they are trained & motivated
  • Communicate information effectively to management team, subcontractors and clients
  • Engineering degree or equivalent preferred
  • PMP designation considered asset

 

 

About the job

  • Required to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Develop a project plan with timing, employee hours and skills needed, production rates and equipment resources
  • Ability to enforce H&S and Quality Control policies and implement procedures with a zero tolerance attitude in order to ensure a safe and quality driven workplace
  • Create and Provide Accurate Documentation (Incl. Deficiency Reports, Site Condition Reports, Meeting Minutes, Organization Charts, Invoices, Receipts, Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Quotes, Site Binders, project Start Up Binders, Project Close Out Binders, Contracts, Warranty Letters, Etc.)
  • Work with management and clients to define and assess needs and recommend the appropriate service, including making site visits as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours per day
  • Must be able to go up and down on ladders, steps, or other lifts as needed
  • Must be able to perform various tasks in confined spaces and elevations.
