Data Engineer - Pricing and Market Intelligence

About you

Building systems and tools to collect and manage data into actionable business finding and recommendations is what you find most appealing in your job. You frequently ask questions, search for data-driven solutions to connect the dots and create effective structures to impact decisions and results. You are fascinated on creating data structures to capture the best out of datasets to be one step ahead of the competition. You are a great mix between an analytical thinker and a people’s person who can both engineer and analyze Big Data as well as communicate with your peers to make the best use of it. 


In addition, you have:

  • Master’s Degree in Data Engineering, Information Management, Marketing, or related studies; 

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Business Intelligence/Data Science or similar; 

  • Proven project-focused experience with demonstrated success in prioritizing and balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; 

  • Strong analytical skills providing data-driven solutions and tools to resolve complex issues and support decision-making; 

  • Proficient skills using SQL, Power Automate, data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI), ERP and CRM are desirable; 

  • Fluent written and spoken English. Any other European languages will be considered an asset; 

  • Demonstrated ability to partner, manage, and influence; 

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong work ethic; 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; 

  • Prompt to travel when necessary 


About the job

As a Data Engineer: Pricing & Market Intelligence, you will integrate our Market Intelligence & Pricing Department adding value to the region of Europe, CIS & Turkey, to collect, validate, and spread actionable information on the organization. You work with international and dynamic colleagues with a high team-spirit and will collaborate daily with key departments to ensure that RHI-Magnesita keeps and expand its market share and profitability. 


Your tasks will include:

  • Collect, validate, and analyze market and internal data to support business critical processes 

  • Determine requirements from our internal customers; and advise them on the use of analytics and visualization tools and data sets 

  • Manage and support internal tools to track customers, competitors, and macroeconomic trends 

  • Strong analytical skills translating market insights into relevant findings and recommendations to the Sales force 

  • Delivering key regional reports based on secondary reports, market research, data manipulation, and modelling 

  • Lead the transformation of the Sales team by identifying innovative and sustainable digital / automated operations to make data easily accessible across the organization 

  • Actively manage and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues
