Privacy Statement for Job Applicants
As part of the recruitment process through this online portal (“Webpage”, “Website” “Webportal”) RHI Magnesita GmbH, Kranichberggasse 6, 1120 Vienna, Austria (“RHI Magnesita” or “we”), will process your personal data. This process is in line with the applicable international and national data protection laws. You must confirm that have read and accepted this Privacy Statement (“Statement”) before accessing the Webpage. The Webpage may be offered in both mobile and desktop versions.
Data Controller
The controller of your account data on the Webpage is RHI Magnesita. Kindly note that RHI Magnesita is part of a group of companies (companies that own or control us, or that are controlled by us). The group company that is evaluating your job application or is offering the job position you have applied to will also act as a data controller.
Language
This Statement and the Webpage are offered in English and, based on our discretion or local legal requirements, in other local languages. As a rule, the English version prevails, unless otherwise provided.
Legal bases and processing purposes
The processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of the services offered on the Webpage. To this end we shall set up your account on the Webpage, share our job positions, enable you to submit your job applications and to exchange communication with us.
In addition, your data may be processed to fulfill our legal and regulatory obligations or based on our legitimate interests, as described in this Statement.
To optimize the quality of the Webpage services, you have the option to set up customized job alerts and subscribe to our news and career events. This is based on your consent, and you have the option to unsubscribe.
The Webpage may also offer you the free option to apply for one of our job positions or to share our job positions via third-party websites or mobile applications, such as career networks or other communication channels.

Data from third parties, such as recruitment agencies, for the purpose of evaluating or processing the application further.

Security Measures
We have adopted the due technical and organization measures to protection your data. For instance, data are processed in strict confidence and mainly in pseudonymized format, access is granted only on a need-to-know basis and to persons that are subject to confidentiality agreements. We share the data with external third parties only if this is necessary to provide the services on the Webpage or is required by applicable laws.
Third parties accessing the data
The personal data may be shared in full or in part with the staff of our group companies responsible for selection, recruiting, the hiring managers, support functions and IT security. Your data may be accessed also by our sub-processor(s) engaged by us to maintain and operate the Webpage. Your data may be also shared with governmental and regulatory bodies if required by applicable laws. We do not sell your personal data.
The Webpage may offer the option to apply for a job position by using your professional network account (e.g. Linkedin). In addition, you may have the option to share our job positions via third party websites and mobile applications such as social media, career networks or other communication channels such as email address. If you choose to engage these services, some of your data may be shared with these parties. We encourage you to read their privacy terms in advance.
Place of data processing
Your personal data will be primarily processed within the EU/EEA countries where our datacenters are located. However, we are using the services of third-party providers to operate the Website, and in exceptional cases they may be access your personal data outside the EU/EEA, for global support services.
If you are based outside the EU/EEA, the data shall be shared with our staff located in your country of residence or region to process your job application. If you are applying for a job position that is located outside your country of residence, your data shall be shared with our staff located in that country or region to process your application.
If required by applicable national laws the data may be stored in full or in part in your country of residence.
The data of EU based applicants are processed in non-EU/EEA countries based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, or contractual measures such as EU-U.S. Privacy Shield or EU Standard Contractual Clauses. In all cases, the processing of your data is subject to necessary contractual arrangements and due safety measures.
Automated decision making
As a rule, we do not make decisions, including profiling, on your job application based solely on automated processing. The selection process has always a human intervention.
Kindly note that for some specific job positions, a fully automated decision applies during the pre-selection phase. This is done by way of standard questions that should be responded by the candidate while submitting the job application. This solution is necessary to establish at the very early phase of the selection whether you have the necessary requirements for the position such as specific qualifications, geographical mobility, etc.
Storage period of the data
If you have created an account and not applied for a job position on the Webpage, your data shall be deleted (or fully anonymized) within 30 days following your request for closure of the account.
If you apply for a job position via the Webpage, your data are retained for the duration of the selection process and one additional year following the closure of the selection process. During this period, we may also contact you for new job positions. This is based on our legitimate interest and general retention periods provided by law for this type of services. If you require the deletion of your data before the expire of this term, your request shall be evaluated based on the retention periods set in applicable national laws.
Your personal data may be retained for longer periods if required to comply applicable laws or to defend our legal interests. Some data may be also retained in fully anonymized and aggregated format. These terms shall be defined on a case by case bases.
If you like to close your account, you may contact us via the provided contacts on the Webpage. Kindly note that we reserve the right to close your account at any time at our own discretion.
Your rights
You have the right to request at any time whether and which data we process about you on the Webpage. Please note that this information is mostly and already available on your account.
You also have the right to ask deletion of the data, restriction of processing, data transferability and objection to processing. These requests are subject to retention periods and other applicable rules as provided in this Statement.
You also have the option of withdrawing your consent, if processing is based on consent, however the lawfulness of the data processing up to the time of the revocation is not affected.
