Quality Lead

The Quality Lead at the Saybrook isostatic refractories plant plays a pivotal role in ensuring product consistency, managing ISO9001 quality management system, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues. Reporting to the Quality and Technical Manager for multiple plants, the Quality Lead guides a team of technicians and contributes to strategic plant decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety protocols and regulations. 
• Lead and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 systems.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate external certifications.
• Analyze process data to identify trends and reduce product variation.
• Collaborate with production, technical, and customer-facing teams to resolve quality issues.
• Supervise and develop quality technicians, promoting a culture of accountability.
• Report on key quality metrics and contribute to plant-wide strategic decisions.

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or quality assurance, preferably in isostatic or pressed refractories.
• Experience with ISO systems, statistical process control, and CAPA.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality software tools.
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
