Your role
As a Global Research & Development (R&D) Trainee, you will report directly to the Head of R&D India or another leader within the research segment. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the R&D Department, including the global team.
- Gain exposure to key departments such as FP&A, Technical Marketing, and Operations.
- Visit customer sites and production plants to align with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead small-scale R&D projects.
- Conduct postmortem analyses of used customer products.
Your final posting location will be determined based on business needs—potential sites include Jamshedpur, Vizag, or Bhiwadi.
About you
Your enthusiasm and creativity drive fresh ideas, both individually and with colleagues. With a hands-on mentality, structured approach, and sharp analytical skills, you want to challenge and improve the status quo.
- University degree (Master or PhD in Mining, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science, Ceramics, Process Engineering, etc.)
Note: For Global R&D Trainee we require a higher education degree due to the complexity and specificities of the job.
- Previous professional experience or internship in Refractory Production Operations/Mining/Ceramics/Electrical or Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); German or other foreign language is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the refractory industry is considered an asset.
- Open to international experiences and future relocation.
- Pragmatic, results-driven team player with a hands-on approach.
- Strong focus on customer experience.

The hiring process for the Global Trainee Program 2025 takes place between April - July 2025, with multiple stages including CV screening, interviews, a personality questionnaire, and an assessment centre.
