We are hiring a dedicated and proactive Quality Control Manager. Head of Quality Control is responsible for auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and outputs against defined internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role leads to quality control operations across incoming materials, in-process checks, finished product testing, inspection systems, and reporting of manufacturing deviations and product defects. The position works closely with Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership to investigate issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and strengthen process discipline and product consistency.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.Tech / University Degree level
  • Experience of Refractory Products.
  • 15+ years of experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

 

Key Responsibilities      :

            

  • Lead the Quality Control function for raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and testing activities across the manufacturing operation.
  • Establish, review, and improve quality control procedures, specifications, sampling plans, test methods, and inspection standards.
  • Audit and monitor manufacturing processes and outputs to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Approve or reject materials and finished products based on inspection and test results, and ensure proper segregation and control of non-conforming products.
  • Report process deviations, product defects, and adverse quality trends to relevant stakeholders and coordinate timely corrective and preventive action closure.
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to troubleshoot quality failures and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Oversee laboratory controls, testing schedules, instrument calibration, maintenance, and reliability of inspection and testing equipment, where applicable.
  • Review quality performance metrics, analyze defects and variation trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Lead customer complaint analysis, internal quality investigations, and audit readiness for internal, customer, and regulatory reviews.
  • Develop team capability through training, supervision, and performance management of inspectors, analysts, engineers, and quality control
  • QA/QC SWI implementation.
  • Good Communication Skills in Hindi & English.
  • Computer Skills. (Knowledge of using MS word, excel, power point.)
  • Fluency in writing and speaking Hindi, English; every additional language will be considered an asset.
  • Ensure safety.

            

The role requires recognized expertise in quality control systems, manufacturing inspection practices, root cause analysis, process discipline, and interpretation of specifications and testing results. It also requires the ability to apply experienced judgement in varied operating situations while balancing product quality, customer expectations, process capability, and business needs.
