Supply Chain Planning Prof Junior

About You

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly analytical SCM Planning Professional Junior to drive Supply Planning, Scenario Planning, Planning governance and Supply Chain Analytics.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in advanced planning platforms such as o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, SAP IBP or similar digital supply chain planning tools, with the ability to convert complex demand, supply, capacity, inventory and logistics information into actionable business decisions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics or a related field.
  • 3-5 years Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Supply Planning, IBP/S&OP, Production Planning or Logistics.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, SAP IBP or equivalent advanced planning platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Supply Planning, MRP, Capacity Planning, Inventory Planning and S&OP/IBP.
  • Experience in Scenario Planning / What-if Analysis and supply chain decision modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI and data visualization.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/planning systems such as SAP S/4HANA/SAP HANA.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Planning S&OP

  • Lead the end-to-end S&OP cycle across Demand, Supply, Inventory, Capacity and Financial planning.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance and Logistics teams.
  • Develop a single, aligned view of Demand vs Supply vs Inventory vs Capacity.
  • Identify supply-demand gaps, risks, constraints and opportunities.
  • Prepare management-level recommendations and escalation points.

2. Supply Planning

  • Develop and maintain short-, medium- and long-term supply plans based on demand, inventory targets, production capacity and material availability.
  • Optimize production allocation across plants considering:
    • Capacity
    • Cost
    • Customer service
    • Inventory
    • Material availability
    • Transportation constraints
  • Identify bottlenecks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with Production, Procurement and Logistics to ensure supply continuity.
  • Drive inventory balancing across plants, warehouses and distribution locations.
  • Support Make-or-Buy, production allocation and network optimization decisions.
  • Monitor supply plan adherence and take corrective actions.

3. o9 / Kinaxis / Advanced Planning

  • Utilize o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, SAP IBP or equivalent platforms to improve end-to-end supply chain planning.
  • Develop planning models, scenarios and simulations to support business decisions.
  • Drive effective use of:
    • Demand Planning
    • Supply Planning
    • Capacity Planning
    • Inventory Optimization
    • Allocation Planning
    • Scenario Planning
    • Exception Management
    • Network Planning
  • Improve planner productivity through system-driven exceptions and alerts.
  • Ensure planning parameters and master data are accurate and fit for purpose.
  • Drive adoption of digital planning tools across SCM.

4. Scenario Planning & What-If Analysis

  • Develop what-if scenarios to evaluate the impact of changing business conditions.
  • Analyze scenarios related to:
    • Demand increase/decrease
    • Plant capacity constraints
    • Raw-material shortages
    • Production disruption
    • Supplier constraints
    • Inventory policy changes
    • Transportation constraints
    • New product introduction
    • Plant shutdowns
    • Network changes
  • Quantify the impact of each scenario on service, inventory, cost, capacity and working capital.
  • Present scenario recommendations to management and support faster decision-making.
  • Establish a structured “Plan A / Plan B / Plan C” approach for major supply risks.

5. Supply Chain Analytics & Data Visualization

  • Develop advanced SCM dashboards using Power BI, Excel and planning-system data.
  • Analyze:
    • Demand vs Supply
    • Inventory
    • Capacity
    • Production
    • Supply chain cost
  • Identify trends, exceptions and root causes.
  • Convert data into clear management insights and actions.
  • Establish standardized KPI definitions and reporting governance.
  • Develop automated and exception-based reporting.

6. KPI & Performance Management

Drive and monitor key SCM KPIs including:

Supply Planning

  • Supply Plan Adherence
  • Production Plan Adherence
  • Capacity Utilization
  • Schedule Adherence

Customer Service

  • OTIF
  • On-Time Delivery
  • Fill Rate
  • Customer Order Cycle Time

Business

  • Working Capital
  • Supply Chain Cost
  • Service vs Cost Optimization
