RHI Magnesita is looking for a dynamic mechanic on-site in Brantford, Ontario, CAN.

The role will be to plan and coordinate the appropriate maintenance for all industrial equipment located in our Brantford facility. Identify equipment needs through enacting and following preventative maintenance, stocking spare parts, and purchase planning for replacement components.

Tasks will include:
•    Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment at RHI Magnesita's facility •    Perform inspections on equipment returning from the construction site to identify any problems or maintenance items from its field use.
•    Repair or replace defective parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and assorted industrial equipment.
•    When necessary, contact third-party technical support for repairs and preventative maintenance services for the equipment.
•    Plan the acquisition of spare and wear parts for equipment maintenance.
•    Assist with inventory management functions.
•    Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
•    Occasional trip to construction sites to aid in troubleshooting, or maintenance. 
•    Technical acceptance of new equipment and repairs in suppliers' workshops.
•    Compliance with all safety requirements and use of appropriate PPE.

About you:
•    High school diploma or equivalent.
•    2+ years of mechanical experience. •    Working knowledge of diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment and simple mechanical systems.
•    Willing to travel to manufacturers for additional hands on training. 
•    Proficient in the use of hand and power tools to repair and maintain equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Ability to operate a vehicle safely and legally, often for transportation or delivery purposes.
•    Strong communication skills
