Quality Assurance Specialist

This role is responsible for leading the regional Quality Assurance team to ensuring effective quality control of raw materials and finished goods sourced from China for both regional operations and global supply requirements. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding product quality, supporting customer satisfaction, and maintaining the company's reputation for quality and reliability across international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Oversee sampling, inspection, reporting, and release processes for raw materials and finished goods sourced from China.

•       Establish priorities, allocate resources, and ensure efficient execution of quality assurance activities.

•       Ensure all quality control activities comply with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry specifications. Supporting supply reliability for plants and customers worldwide.

•       Act as the primary quality contact for suppliers, addressing quality issues, driving corrective actions.

•       Lead investigations of quality complaints and non-conformities, ensuring timely root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and effective follow-up.

•       Collaborate closely with Procurement, Operations and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.

•       Foster strong collaboration and communication, ensure timely and accurate reporting to regional and global stakeholders.

•       Support internal audits, external audits, and compliance requirements as needed.

•       Lead and develop the quality assurance team, provide direction, coaching, performance management, and succession planning for the team.

Qualifications:

•       Bachelor's degree or above, major in Quality Management, Materials Science, or a related area is preferred.

•       Minimum 8 years of relevant experience of quality management within a manufacturing environment.

•       Knowledge of refractory raw materials and products, and related quality management processes

•       Proven people leadership experience with the ability to lead and develop a technical or quality team.

•       Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

•       Fluent English language proficiency.
