Business Development Expert - Ironmaking & Reheating Furnaces (all genders)

Your position

In this position, you will play a key role in driving global business growth within the Ironmaking and Reheating Furnace segments. You will coordinate the development and expansion of global market opportunities, strengthen strategic relationships with OEMs, key customers, and regional sales organizations, and foster cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing to maximize business growth. Your insights and initiatives will directly contribute to positioning RHI Magnesita as a global leader in these strategic application areas. In this role, you’ll be travelling internationally for approximately 40% of your working time.

Your tasks

• Managing assigned OEM, EPC and customer projects in alignment with the global account and portfolio strategy
• Driving the complete Lead-to-Cash process, from opportunity qualification to commercial negotiations
• Analyzing markets and customer investment plans to proactively identify new business opportunities
• Gathering and sharing market intelligence and customer feedback to refine solutions and strategies
• Providing technical support to regional sales organizations in ironmaking and reheating furnace applications

Your profile

• University degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Business or similar technical/commercial qualification
• Several years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Key Account Management, or Technical Project Management in ironmaking, steel, refractory, ceramics or related industries
• Strategic and hands-on mindset with strong commercial and technical acumen
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across global and cross-functional teams

Languages: English – fluent

Nice to have: Experience in the field of direct reduction plants (DRP) or sound knowledge of direct reduction technology; user experience in SAP
