Maintenance Technician
Location: East Canton
Compensation: $30 - $32 per hour
Shift: Must be open to all shifts (day, night, weekends as needed)
About the Opportunity
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of plant operations by maintaining industrial machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
This position partners closely with plant personnel and may occasionally be required to respond to off-hours maintenance needs to support continuous operations and minimize downtime.
What You’ll Do
- Install and maintain main electrical power supply writing and conduit for plant equipment, including press, conveyors, air handlers, mixers, and hydraulic components
- Trouble shoot and repair conveyors, mixers, presses, and other plant equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including rebuilding pumps and gearboxes
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and cranes as needed
- Always ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional plant teams to support efficient, safe, and reliable operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant maintenance needs
What You Bring
- Journeyman Card preferred, not required - Electrician, Millwright, Machine Repair journeyman cards will be accepted
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to perform electrical work in accordance with applicable codes
- Experience with welding is a plus
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry tools to workstations
- Ability to climb ladders and work in tight or confined spaces
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
