The location of the role is in Eskisehir

The working hours of this position would be 7:30-16:00 (Monday-Friday) and 7:30-13:00 (Saturday)

About the job

In this position, you will directly report to the Head of Mining, Türkiye. As a mining engineer, you will be primarily responsible for the mining operations of our Eskisehir plant. You will actively oversee drill/blast, and load/haul operations. Currently, our mining operations at our Eskişehir Plant is being done by contractors. You will be in charge of coordinating with subcontractors to implement scheduled open pits. By closely collaborating with team members, you will ensure that the extraction of run-of-mine ore aligns with specified quantity and quality classifications.

In addition, your tasks will include;

• Organizing day-to-day production activities
• Following up on production figures and reporting
• Ensuring the safety of mining operations

What we expect from you in terms of                  

Education, knowledge, certifications & skills

• A bachelor's or master’s degree in mining, engineering or any field of similar relevance 
• Profound knowledge of lean management
• Technical inspector certificate issued by the Turkish Chamber of Mining Engineers   
• Health Safety & Environment and short-firer certification is a plus   

     languages

• English - Proficient/Fluent   
• Turkish - Proficient/Fluent
• Any other language is considered as an asset                                                                                        

Work Experience

• Several years of experience in metallic or selective open-pit, blast mining operations
• Experience with mining in Turkiye and its associated regulations
