What You’ll Do
- Communicate with freight forwarders, and carriers, to resolve shipping delays or documentation issues.
- Track and report shipment status, lead times, and potential risks.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget guidelines.
- Maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance metrics.
- Handle procurement of indirect materials and services (e.g., office supplies, maintenance, IT equipment).
- Support and manage purchasing-related projects, including cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all inbound shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to reconcile deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline inbound logistics and purchasing processes.
- Support implementation of best practices for cost reduction and efficiency.
