About you

You have experince working closely with the customers to ensure that the Company products are being utilized/installed appropriately in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Interface with the customer, and work closely with leadership to improve sales turnover, support inventory management, identify problems (troubleshooting), and address customer product concerns.


  • 5-8 years’ experience in Steel refractories
  • Workign experince in Stainless Steel is an asset
  • Bachleors in Ceramic/Materials Science an assest or equivalent in working experince
  • Proven experince in building strong stakholder relaionships
  • Must be comfortable in dealing with customers from all levels
  • Independent worker and self-starter, who contributes to the overall team objectives
  • Hands on, forward thinking, and improvement/results driven
  • Works effectively and collaboratively, including clear written and verbal communications
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products, specifically MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint


About the job

The Marketing & Solutions Specilaist for Linings is responsible for the development, creation and implementation of technical concepts for our customers – now and in future.  This person will provide technical expertise and detailed application knowledge in refractories and customer processes to support the sales activities within RHI Magnesita.

In this role, your tasks will include:

  • Acts as an interface between R&D, Sales, Operations and Product Management.
  • Create customer specific refractory concepts and system solutions
  • Customer service including on site monitoring of service trials, troubleshooting, fact finding etc.
  • Faciltate technical training of product installation to both internal employees as well as external customer employees.  
  • Initiate and support market roll out of new products
  • Provide & transfer information about new product developments (sales information)
  • Set-up and revise product portfolio including related equipment
  • Provide product-related expertise as input for continuous process and product development (design, grade portfolio, packaging, recycling etc.)
  • Support in the non-conformity release process
  • Definition and follow-up of R&D projects based on market demand (acting as a project initiator)
  • R&D support for handling claims: sending samples, discussion of investigation results and R&D reports
  • Report of product performance on a regular basis
  • Customer selection for field trials
  • On-site trial support incl. trial reports
  • Collect market information and news, process it and make it available for other colleagues in a suitable way
  • Analyze, compare and benchmark competitor information with RHI Magnesita performance. (e.g. prices, technical product properties, developments, strategies)
  • Collect customer profile and market data (annual production volume, aggregate list, detailed consumption for all product groups, market share competition, contacts incl. their function etc.)
