Salary Range: $68,000 – $75,000 per year

🔧 Role Summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking a skilled and safety-driven Service Technician to support operations in East Arkansas. This role is essential to maintaining the reliability and performance of equipment in manufacturing and mill environments. You’ll be responsible for installing refractory products, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and traveling to nearby plants to ensure operational excellence. This is a hands-on role that combines mechanical expertise, customer interaction, and a strong commitment to safety.

What You’ll Do

• Install and maintain refractory products in mill and manufacturing environments.
• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, including inspections, lubrication, and part replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure machinery is operating efficiently and safely.
• Operate overhead cranes and sit-down forklifts to move heavy materials and equipment.
• Use hand tools (e.g., hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers) for assembly, demolition, and adjustments.
• Load and unload materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Travel to customer sites and plants within a 60-mile radius to provide on-site service and support.
• Communicate with customers to coordinate service schedules and provide technical assistance.
• Use basic data entry systems to document maintenance activities, inventory usage, and service records.
• Follow strict safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and maintenance goals.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• Industrial experience in manufacturing, mills, or heavy equipment environments.
• Refractory installation experience is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and documentation.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer/data entry skills.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Willingness to travel locally (within 60 miles) as needed.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to operational protocols.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
