About the job

As a Global Automation Specialist, you will report directly to our Global Head of Engineering. In this role, you bring your deep understanding and knowledge of automation into RHI Magnesita, in order to improve hardware automation (AGVs, Robots, Vision camera, IoT Smart sensors, etc.) and data connectivity level. This includes horizontal and vertical integration in hardware and software levels across our European sites.  In addition, you will also provide expert knowledge to develop global technical and project standards & guidelines (such as URS, FRS, PCSD, etc.). You will support the global automation CapEx projects, conduct IT/OT system technical gap analysis, and work collaboratively across a multifunctional team to drive continuous improvement of plant automation and operational excellence.

 

In addition, your tasks will include

  • Creating and updating global automation standards
  • Managing or supporting other global automation projects
  • Taking initiatives regarding productivity improvement and cost reduction
  • Acting as the technical expert/ consultant and providing technical support to automation projects in European factories

What we expect from you in terms of

 

Education & Skills

  • A higher technical education in the fields of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or similar
  • Experience in robot and AGV applications, machinery automation, PLC/SCADA/DCS applications such as Siemens S7 PLC, Intouch, PCS7, etc.
  • Knowledge of operational automation, plant data and information systems and technologies, such as OSIsoft PI data historians
  • Experience in development of plant automation modernization roadmap, USR and Process Control Strategy documentations
  • Familiarity with ISA 88 and ISA 95 standards
  • MES knowledge
  • PMP certification will be considered an advantage

 

Languages

  • English – Proficient/Fluent
  • German – Advanced

The annual gross salary for this position will start from € 65.000,00 on a full-time basis, depending on your qualification and experience, as well as the amount of overtime and your level of seniority. We will make sure to offer you a competitive salary package that values your relevant background and that’s in line with market values.
