Your position
In the Pioneer Research department, you will manage cutting-edge R&D projects focused on sustainability, recycling, artificial intelligence and advanced materials science. Your responsibilities will range from developing research concepts and evaluating new technologies to supporting the conceptual piloting of innovative equipment. You will help transfer promising solutions from the research environment into practical applications at global sites, working closely with international and interdisciplinary teams. You will also contribute to funded research projects and support the implementation of innovative solutions. Occasional international travel will be required.
Your tasks
- Managing and coordinating R&D projects in sustainability, recycling, AI and materials science
- Developing innovative research concepts and evaluating their technical and application potential
- Planning and supporting pilot activities for new equipment, materials and technologies, including data analysis and documentation of results
- Supporting the implementation, scale-up and knowledge transfer of innovative solutions across global sites
- Collaborating with international teams, research institutions and industry partners to ensure successful project execution
- Supporting funded research projects, including proposal preparation, partner coordination, project planning, reporting and communication with funding bodies
Your profile
- Higher technical education in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering or a related field
- Initial experience or a strong interest in research, innovation, recycling or sustainable technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with an independent, hands-on and implementation-oriented working style
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and international teams
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with AI, data analysis or project management is considered an advantage, as well as willingness to travel internationally as required by the projects
Languages: English – fluent; additional languages will be considered an asset.

The annual gross salary for this full-time position starts at €58,000.00, with a competitive package based on qualifications, experience, and market values.
