About the job

In this position, you will report to our Head of Competence Center Sensors. Your responsibilities will include planning, prioritizing, and driving the development of innovative new products, while also maintaining and refining our existing product portfolio. You will be responsible for leading our sensor development research within an electromagnetic field. As a valuable member of our local management team, you will be the head of our R&D team comprising five team members. You will prioritize projects according to our business needs and work closely with our product manager, operations manager, and other global stakeholders.

In addition, your tasks will include

• Collaborating with our product manager to find the right priorities and solutions
• Collaborating with our operations manager for customization and for follow-up on product performance
• Renewing our sensors portfolio and developing new sensor solutions
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with universities and research institutes to drive research and innovation initiatives
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and materials to ensure our product range remains cutting-edge

You work well in cross-functional teams and are not afraid to take responsibility and make decisions. What we expect from you in terms of

Education

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or any field of similar relevance
• Advanced knowledge of refractories will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge of steel and non-ferrous metals processes will be considered an advantage

Languages

• English – Proficient/Fluent
• Swedish – Proficient/Fluent
• Any other languages will be considered an asset

Work Experience & Skills

• Several years of relevant working experience in an international manufacturing environment
• Experience leading a diverse global team
