Market Intelligence & Business Analytics Intern - Summer 2027
Are you curious about how data, market trends, and customer insights shape business strategy? As a Summer 2027 Market Intelligence Intern, you'll work alongside our commercial and sales leaders to help uncover insights that drive growth across North America's steel and industrial markets. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of analytics, business strategy, sales, and artificial intelligence while supporting real-world initiatives that impact customers and commercial decision-making.
You'll collaborate with experienced professionals, learn how industrial markets operate, and contribute to projects that help transform data into actionable business intelligence. This is a fully remote, paid internship with opportunities to travel for customer and business exposure.
What You'll Do
- Support market research projects focused on steel, manufacturing, and broader industrial market trends.
- Analyze internal and external data sources to identify business opportunities, competitive insights, and emerging market developments.
- Assist in creating dashboards, reports, presentations, and market intelligence summaries using tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Partner with commercial and sales teams to organize customer and market feedback into meaningful insights.
- Participate in market deep dives and strategic projects supporting growth initiatives across key business segments.
- Explore emerging AI-enabled tools and analytics solutions that improve how business intelligence is gathered and shared.
- Help maintain data quality and accuracy across multiple sources and reporting platforms.
- Gain exposure to customer operations, commercial strategy, and executive decision-making processes
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Marketing, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other analytics tools is a plus.
- Interest in market intelligence, business strategy, sales analytics, AI, or commercial decision-making.
- Effective communication skills and ability to present findings clearly to various audiences.
- Strong curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Previous internship, project work, or coursework involving data analysis is beneficial but not required.
