Your position
As a Plant Manager, you will take full responsibility for a highly specialized manufacturing site with advanced CNC automation. The plant operates in a lean structure and focuses on producing complex metal components and mold systems for the steel and glass industries. This role requires a hands-on leadership approach, combining operational oversight with a clear focus on efficiency, safety and quality. You will act as an interface between headquarters and other international plants, supporting stable operations and continuous developments.
Your tasks
- Managing all aspects of daily plant operations, ensuring production runs smoothly and targets are consistently achieved
- Controlling costs and overseeing budgeting processes while conducting detailed monthly performance reviews to maintain financial efficiency
- Ensuring health & safety compliance across the plant, implementing proactive measures to create and sustain a safe working environment
- Leading and developing plant employees, fostering engagement, motivation, and continuous improvement within the team
- Implementing process optimization initiatives, enhancing productivity, and ensuring operational excellence through hands-on involvement
Your profile
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, combined with a proactive, results-oriented mindset
- Several years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial production environment
- Technical understanding of manufacturing and automated processes
- Proven ability in cost control, budgeting, and efficiency improvement
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced in working with ERP systems
Languages: German - fluent; English - fluent
Nice to have: Knowledge of CNC machine processes, experience or insight in training or mentoring apprentices
