About the job

In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Complexity Reduction Program. You will be part of a global team working on an exciting program aiming to optimize our raw materials and finished goods portfolio. The CoRe Program (Complexity Reduction) will evaluate and simplify our existing product portfolio, by strategically selecting products that align with our future integrations and offer profitability for the company. Together with our team of data engineers, product specialists, operations experts, and business professionals, you will embark on agile experimentation to craft a more streamlined environment and establish a strategic finished goods portfolio that meets customers’ demands.


In addition, your tasks will include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders from various departments across regions and industries to standardize the core portfolio definition
  • Supporting the creation of new processes aimed at enhancing governance for grade creation
  • Providing technical support to the raw material harmonization workstream


The recruitment process for the Global Trainee Program is a multi-stage process that spans several months from February 2024 to June 2024. The stages include the Video Application stage, the Interview stage, and the Assessment Center stage. Successful candidates will be issued their contracts in June 2024 and will start their position in September 2024.

What we expect from you in terms of


Education, skills & knowledge

  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, mining or similar fields of relevance
  • Knowledge of the refractory industry
  • Data analytic skills and good affinity with Microsoft Excel


  • English – Proficient/Fluent
  • Any other language would be an asset

Work Experience

  • Initial work experience (internships etc.) in the field of refractories
