Market Intelligence System Engineer

About you

Building systems and tools to collect and manage data into actionable business finding and recommendations is what you find most appealing in your job. You frequently ask questions, search for data-driven solutions to connect the dots and create effective structures to impact decisions and results. You are fascinated on creating data structures to capture the best out of datasets to be one step ahead of the competition. You are a great mix between an analytical thinker and a system engineer who can develop and maintain a valuable flow of data between various systems. You love to solve tricky technical questions in data systems from the backend to the front-end and to visualization systems

 

In addition, you have:

  • Experience in using SQL, Data Visualization Tools (e.g. Power BI), Power Query are required
  • A few years prior experience in a similar position
  • Experience in managing SharePoint and automating data loading into Power BI is a big advantage
  • Experience of statistical methods or data modeling is a plus
  • Ability to transform large scale data sets into visualize and make it interpretable
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong work ethic
  • A proactive attitude and ability take end-to-end ownership of projects
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Any other European languages will be considered an asset

 

About the job

As a Data Analyst in Market Intelligence, you will integrate the systems of our Marketing Department, bringing value to systems outside of RHIM and global within RHI Magnesita. The value that will be added by this is to collect, validate, and spread actionable information to our regional organization. You work with international and dynamic colleagues with a high team-spirit and will collaborate daily with key departments to ensure that RHI-Magnesita keeps and expand its market share and profitability.

 

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop, maintain and improve dashboards and sharepoint based on business needs
  • Collect and validate market and internal data to support business critical processes
  • Bringing the existing data infrastructure to the next level by connecting back-end storage systems with data sources, and driving automization
  • Troubleshooting the dashboards and sharepoint
  • Actively engage and manage relationships with internal colleagues and stakeholders
  • Seek out best practices, share with your team, and test and apply them if applicable
