Advanced Business Developer Flow Control

About you

You have a strong technical knowledge of steel making and casting as well as Flow Control Refractories. Preferably you have experience in running a caster and you are aware of the safety standards and regulations related to steel making and casters.
 

You are not afraid to deal with people at all levels of the organization across the world and you know that building a strong, trustful relationship with the customer is the key to success. You prefer not only to work with a customer, but also at the customer’s sites in order to further develop your relationship and build trust. Together with your Account Manager colleagues you easily translate the learnings from the caster managers into offers suiting the customer in the best way. You can identify a technical or quality issue and translate it into business opportunities.

You communicate in a confident and service-oriented way. You speak the language of the customer which makes you able to explain technical aspects at various levels and details. You have a hands-on mentality and in your daily work you take initiative, are precise and proactive. Getting the job done is one of your main characteristics. You have a high level of self-discipline meaning that you do not give up until the end-result has been achieved.

 

In addition, you have:

  • A technical or engineering background
  • Ideally +5 years of experience in refractory or steel industry
  • Profound experience in Technical Marketing, Account Management or Project Management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills
  • Good command of MS Office and affinity with IT-software
  • Fluency in English and Finnish


About the job

As an Advanced Business developer, Flow Control you partner with the internal Sales Account managers to gain trust of the Caster Managers at the customer sites. You build strong relationship with the customer, where you will lead and assist with the continuous casting trails. Your key role is to maximize the sale and market share of the Flow Control products at designated accounts. You spend the majority of your time at the customer in Raahe fostering and developing new businesses with a focus on casting processes. You will report directly to the Head of Business Development Flow Control Europe, but work in close collaboration with the Account Managers for Finland and the Sales Steel area.


Your tasks will include:

  • Build and maintain strong working technical relationships with key strategic customers
  • Partner with internal sales group to gain trust of the Caster Managers in dedicated accounts that have been identified
  • Identify customers bottle necks related to continuous casting, translating it into solutions through our products portfolio
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Technical Excellence and Solution, Sales, and Product Management to support customer’s Flow Control projects
  • Lead and follow up customer trails
  • Respond to existing clients needs and opportunities to further develop our partnerships
