Sales Account Manager Steel

About you

You are experienced with business development, preferably you have been in contact with refractory products in your career.  You are not afraid to deal with people at all levels of the organization across the world and you know that building a strong relationship with the customer is the key to success. You take initiative and you do not give up until the end-result has been achieved.

 

You enjoy working with colleagues cross-functionally and cross-country and you have a structured approach. You work independently and you easily switch between regular administrative tasks, operational tasks and projects. You communicate in a service-oriented way and you can explain technical aspects at various levels and details. In your work you are precise, proactive, and getting the job done is one of your main characteristics.
 

In addition, you have:

  • A technical or engineering background
  • Ideally 3-5 years of experience in refractory or steel industry
  • Professional experience in Technical Marketing, Sales or Project Management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills
  • Good command of MS Office and affinity with IT-software
  • Fluency in English and Swedish 

 

About the job

As a Sales Account Manager you will be the face of RHI Magnesita to our customers in Bergslagen and will have the responsibility for sales activities for our products to your appointed customers. You provide on-site customer service through regular customer visits and you develop technical and commercial sales concepts in close collaboration with the customer and our internal Technical Excellence & Solutions Team.

You will be part of a sales team stationed in different areas of Sweden and will report to the Head of Sales Steel Northern Europe. This position requires frequent travels to our customers in the area around Bergslagen.

 

Your tasks will include:

  • Processing of inquiries, preparation of offers, pursuing negotiations and contract management
  • Financial planning related to rolling forecasts, market pricing conditions, annual business plans, inventory management etc.
  • Ongoing observation of the market and strategy development to support customers
  • Respond to existing clients needs and opportunities to further develop our partnerships
  • Provide solutions by placing the right products and technology with the support of our Technical Excellence & Solutions Team
  • Proposal preparation (with support of Pricing Quotation department) including thorough response to customer requests, mindfulness to competitive pricing strategies and alignment with RHI Magnesita commercial management standards
  • Determination of contract parameters specific to each transaction
