Your position
As a Quality Control Operator, you will report directly to the Quality Control Line Leader and play a key role in ensuring that raw materials and finished products comply with RHI Magnesita quality standards. You will also contribute to process stability and customer satisfaction by ensuring reliable laboratory results and timely quality decisions.
You will:
- Perform quality control testing for raw materials and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
- Execute release testing within the required turnaround times.
- Collect production samples from designated sampling locations.
- Prepare samples for laboratory analysis, including cutting, grinding, drying, or other required preparation.
- Register laboratory samples and test results in SAP accurately and on time.
- Maintain laboratory records, logbooks, and quality documentation.
- Report laboratory results promptly and immediately communicate any abnormal or out-of-specification conditions.
- Re-sample materials when required.
- Label production materials according to their quality status (Released, Quarantine, Rejected).
- Maintain laboratory supplies, consumables, and sampling containers.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory housekeeping (5S).
- Participate in Layered Process Audits (LPA).
- Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform statistical analysis of raw material and finished product properties to identify trends and support process improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is used correctly and report any malfunction or calibration issues.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Environmental, and company policies.
Your profile
RHI Magnesita is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Operator with strong analytical skills and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. The selected candidate will ensure laboratory testing is performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Education and Professional Background:
- Technical Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in Quality Control, Laboratory Operations, or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience working with laboratory equipment and testing procedures is desirable.

Authority
- Hold materials pending quality disposition.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials.
- Request material re-sampling when required.
- Assign quality status labels according to approved procedures.
- Escalate critical quality issues to the Quality Control Line Leader.
- Recommend withholding product release when quality requirements are not met, according to the established quality procedures.
