Your position
As an Operations trainee, you will report directly to the Head of Lean Management Europe & CIS. You will be an integral part of our Operations teams in the Czech Republic, closely collaborating with stakeholders to implement and sustain lean methodologies. Together with our experts in operations, you will gain experience in various operational processes to understand the nuances of our refractory business. With your outstanding communication skills, you will ensure seamless coordination and alignment of project activities in this field. You will understand and analyze our challenges and coordinate with our regional Operations team to support innovative solutions. In this position, you will frequently travel to customer sites and production plants.
Your tasks
- Supporting day-to-day operational excellence activities to drive elements of the Operations Excellence System (OES), including baseline-setting, auditing, and ideation
- Gathering and analyzing operational data to identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Participating in internal training programs focused mainly on lean principles and operational excellence
- Engaging in process improvement initiatives to enhance regional operational efficiency
- Tackling high-priority topics across the European network: collaborate with plants to address urgent issues, deliver impactful solutions, and make a tangible difference together with the teams
Your profile
- A higher technical education (BSc or MSc, preferably in the fields of process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering building constructions, ceramics or similar areas)
- Initial work experience (internships etc.) in the manufacturing field of operations and lean
Additional Languages: English – Proficient/Fluent & Czech- Proficient/Fluent
Good to have: Computer-Aided Design (CAD) certifications
The hiring process for the Global Trainee Program 2025 takes place between April - and July 2025, with multiple stages including CV screening, interviews, a personality assessment, and an assessment center. The successful candidate will receive their contract between June - July and start their position in September 2025.
