Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation Manager, North America

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Logistics & Warehousing to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations within the refractory industry for our North American region. This role will oversee all aspects of warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and logistics planning to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of materials and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with business goals andcustomer requirements.
• Oversee warehousing operations including receiving, storage, inventory control,and dispatch.
• Manage transportation networks and third-party logistics providers to ensuretimely and cost-effective delivery.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards acrossall logistics and warehousing activities.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to forecast demandand align logistics planning.
• Implement and maintain ERP and WMS systems to support data-driven decision-making.
• Monitor KPIs and generate reports to track performance, identify trends, anddrive accountability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics and warehousing team.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in logistics and warehousing, preferably in the refractory or heavy manufacturing industry.
• Proven leadership experience in managing complex supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and transportation management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on approach.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with international logistics and customs compliance.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Understanding of refractory materials and their handling requirements.
