Your position
In this role, you will lead the strategic growth and development of our Machinery & Automation business across Europe, expanding the value of our refractory offering through an even stronger focus on customer needs, business development, and project execution. You will drive business development, deepen customer engagement, and enhance project execution capabilities from early discussions through contract finalization, commissioning, and after-sales service.
Guiding a technology-driven team, you will identify market opportunities, set clear priorities, and foster close collaboration between Sales, Technical Marketing, Engineering, and external partners. This hands-on leadership role requires confidence in technical customer discussions, practical expertise, and the willingness to dive into details to ensure high-quality solutions and successful customer outcomes. In this role you’ll be travelling within Europe for up to 50% of your working time.
Your tasks
- Driving the development and growth of the Machinery & Automation business by identifying and advancing strategic business opportunities in close collaboration with local Sales team across Europe.
- Leading the execution of machinery and automation projects from contract finalization through commissioning, and after-sales support, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Implementing continuous improvement and professionalization of project execution, customer engagement, commissioning, and after-sales services.
Your profile
- Strong technical background, ideally with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Alternatively, a technical qualification (e.g. HTL diploma or apprenticeship) with relevant specialization and experience.
- Several years of hands-on experience in industrial technology, machinery, automation, technical sales, or project management, complemented by initial leadership experience.
- Willingness to work closely with customers on site and travel regularly within the assigned region
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions and multiple stakeholders
Languages: English – fluent, German – fluent
Nice to have: Any additional languages are considered an asset.

The annual gross salary for this full-time position is €75,000.00, with a competitive package based on qualifications, experience, and market values.
