Planning Solution Architect (all genders)

About you

Your ideal skillset:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education (preferably in Computer Science, Math or Engineering) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Several years of experience in design, implementation and operation of large-scale planning processes utilizing relevant vendors/tools (SAP IP/BPC/IBP/SAC, Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, …)
  • Strong experience in finance and controlling and integrated planning (IBP), technical requirement analysis, Databases (SAP BW, SQL), SCRUM framework/agile work methods & tools (Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in
    • Developing planning applications hands-on – for actual, budget, forecast, rolling forecasts etc.
    • Data modeling and preparing datasets, merging, appending, custom hierarchies, custom calculations, groupings, formatting values, data wrangling, dimensions and measures
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is an asset. 

Additionally, you ideally have the following skills & experience:

  • SAP courses & exams in SAC (SACAD1, SACDC1 etc.), BW etc.
  • Software development full lifecycle methodologies, patterns, frameworks, libraries and tools
  • Knowledge of:
    • Programming and scripting languages, data transformation techniques & tools, machine learning tools, predictive capabilities
  • Experience coordinating the intersection of complex system dependencies and interactions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry trends and standards


About the job

As a Planning Solution Architect for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) you will be part of a newly formed product team exclusively driving the SAC platform. The team embraces the SCRUM framework to deliver a constant stream of innovation to the business and ensuring proper operation of the global platform operating a growing number of individual planning processes covering all business areas (finance, sales, supply chain, operations, …). You will be interacting with the scrum master, the SAC in-house and external developers and relevant IT/business stakeholders.

Your tasks will include:

  • Design functional and technical specification for planning applications
  • Review and planning of overall SAC system architecture as-is vs. to-be
  • Collaborate with technical SAC experts for implementation, testing, operation
  • Collaborate with the business and transform requirements into blueprints
  • Involved in application build, test, deployment hands-on
  • Act and guide on:
    • System administration, customizing & settings
    • Application & data security
    • Content management
    • Auditing & monitoring
    • System and planning application life cycle management
    • Setup data import/export to SAP and non-SAP (Azure, …)

Assist in troubleshooting on critical incidents, 3rd level support

Your potential annual gross salary starts at € 60.000 on a full-time basis. We value your education, skills and experience and will make sure these are reflected accordingly in your final set salary.
