Fully On-Site

On-site | Overnight shift, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., Tuesday–Saturday

At RHI Magnesita, quality starts on the plant floor. As a Quality Control Technician Junior, you’ll test materials and finished products, monitor production processes, and help the team identify and resolve quality concerns. Your work will help ensure products meet established specifications before they reach our customers.

You’ll receive training on testing equipment and be expected to demonstrate competency in its use, along with the mathematical calculations and basic statistics needed for quality testing.

What You'll Do

 Test and verify product quality

  • Perform quality control tests on incoming packaging materials, raw materials, and in-process and finished products across producing plants.
  • Evaluate results against established specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Complete plant certificates of analysis and help ensure products meet requirements before release.
  • Cut and grind finished-product samples into approximately 1-inch cubes when testing requires it.

Monitor, investigate, and improve

  • Audit producing plants to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and production.
  • Report and troubleshoot process deviations and defects in finished goods.
  • Help resolve quality concerns and reinforce quality practices with production teams.
  • Investigate customer complaints, support corrective actions, and follow issues through closure.
  • Implement and monitor quality measurement methods.

Maintain accurate systems and a safe workplace

  • Maintain formulation and specification databases, quality records, and reports.
  • Ensure plant testing equipment is calibrated by its due date.
  • Follow plant and global work instructions and keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Report near misses, damage, and injuries immediately, and model safe work practices.

What You Bring

You’re organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable working independently during an overnight shift. You communicate clearly with production teams, approach problems calmly, and look for ways to improve processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Quality Control Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with SAP or a similar system and Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Health, Safety & Work Environment

This is an on-site manufacturing role. Testing may require lifting finished product weighing up to 55 pounds and using fine motor skills to cut and grind samples. You’ll follow all safety procedures and plant work instructions. RHI Magnesita provides an annual voucher for required boots and personal protective equipment. .
