Lean Management Specialist
In this position, you will act as the regional change agent and facilitator on the Operations Excellence System (OES) journey. You will also collaboratively implement the OES vision, strategy, and policies, as well as develop and deploy the RHI Magnesita Operations Excellence System. Your focus lies in the further rollouts and maintenance of the RHI Magnesita OES to ensure global standardization, cost-effectiveness, and competitiveness. In this role, you will be traveling to RHI Magnesita locations regionally and occasionally globally for up to 50% of your working time.

- Promote a culture of safety within the team by setting a positive example and fostering environments where safe practices are a priority.
- Deploy the lean philosophy and continuous improvement mindset in the production plants
- Deploy standards and description of methods & processes and develop respective documentation.
- Analyze processes or disruptions, identifying bottlenecks, developing solutions and supporting the implementation.
- Evaluating costs & benefits of the project and controlling the implementation of measures.
- Preparing, distributing and training subject and method knowledge and sharing best practices.
- Training people on all levels of the organization to enable them to continuously improve their processes
- Work cross functionally to ensure alignment and adherence to corporate objectives and goals.
- Lead through a communicative leadership style, with two-way communication and high employee engagement.
- Utilize the management system to meet established goals and objectives and drive continual improvement projects.
- Interface with production personnel to ensure optimal balancing of production efficiency
- Generate and analyze daily and weekly Lean reports.
- Constantly work to improve processes and elevate suggestions made by the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of the role
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in industrial environment implementing Lean methodology
- Lean Certification, preferably Green or Black belt
- Must be a strong problem solver
- Bilingual in Spanish, is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Strong knowledge of KPI development.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Support and promote cultural themes

- The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
- Capable of operating various types of office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
- Physical demands include but are not limited to standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting – 50 pounds maximum.
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (including hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, and gloves).
