About the opportunity?

We are looking for a Production Managers in our York, PA plant.  This role will be responsible for leading and managing the operational functions of manufacturing operations. Ensure products are safely and sustainably manufactured according to required schedule, quality standards and cost objectives.

  • Lead and actively participate in the safety improvements to ensure safe working practices.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely manner, according to established procedures and approved processes.
  • Ensure consistent product quality and adherence to established quality standards.
  • Utilize the management of change system to meet established goals and objectives and drive continuous improvement within each of the departments.
  • Develop and improve upon existing standard work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement operational improvements to reduce costs, improve OEE, and minimize waste.
  • Develop annual operating budget for each department based upon production plans.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cross-functional processes such as production, inventory management, quality assurance and customer service.
  • Drive a high performing team culture by driving talent management and retention efforts. Relentless pursuit of exemplifying our 4 Cultural themes. Evaluate team needs to execute necessary hiring, training, developmental, and disciplinary needs.

 

About you:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous manufacturing experience in managing people and processes
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment
  • Working knowledge of Lean/6S practices, with demonstrated history of successful implementation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
  • Knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations
  • Strong skills in Microsoft applications and ERP systems
  • Strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated; ability to work independently
