Quality Control Technician Junior

  • Overnight/3rd shift Schedule: 11p-7a Tuesday-Saturday. 
  • The Quality Control Technician Junior applies their knowledge and skills to build and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.  
  • Responsibilities include audit, monitor, and determine the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against define internal and regulatory standards.
  • Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
  • Technicians will be required to complete training and demonstrate competency in the use of testing equipment, mathematical calculations, and basic statistics.
  • Perform Quality control tests on incoming packaging materials, raw materials, and in-process/finished products throughout all producing plants.
  • Requires occasional cutting of finished product for testing.  This requires the combination of lifting 55 pounds and the use of fine motor skills to cut and grind samples into 1-inch cubes.
  • Routinely audit all producing plants identifying opportunities for improvements in safety, quality, and production.
  • Follows all plant and global work instructions.
  • Completion of plant certificates of analysis.
  • Maintain and ensure all plant equipment is calibrated to due date.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment while always following safety procedures.
  • Reporting any near miss, damage, or injury immediately.
  • Role model for safety support and cultural themes.

 

The Quality Control Technician Junior tasks will include: 

  • Responsibility for the overall quality of production and supports the team in exceeding quality standards, rectifying quality concerns, and continually educating the workforce on essential quality delivery to our customers 
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints; assure proper corrective action and closure 
  • Assure maintenance of formulation and specification databases 
  • Responsible for the quality of the products released against the specifications and quality standards established 
  • Implement and monitor quality measurement methodology 
  • Schedule 3rd shift with some weekend

 

Qualifiacations:

  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment working as a Quality Control Technician
  • High proficiency with use of SAP (or similar system) and Microsoft Excel for data input, output, report creation and data analysis 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work independently and within a team 
  • A drive for process improvement
  • Excellent Problem solving and organizational skills 
  • Willingness to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally 
  • Ability to interact with staff, partners, and the general public with a calm and professional demeanor
