About the Opportunity

 

We are seeking a Regional Integrated Management System (IMS) Manager to support the implementation, certification, and continuous improvement of our Integrated Management System across North America. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) standards.

 

As a key member of the regional IMS organization, you will partner with site leadership teams to deploy, maintain, audit, and continuously improve management systems that drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This is a remote position with up to 50% travel throughout North America.

 

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Lead and support the planning, implementation, certification, and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 management systems across North American sites.
  • Coordinate and maintain the regional IMS framework, ensuring alignment with global standards and corporate objectives.
  • Develop, review, and manage IMS documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Communicate system updates and process changes effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal audits, while supporting external certification and regulatory audits.
  • Identify gaps, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities; drive corrective action plans through to closure.
  • Track, analyze, and report IMS performance metrics, risks, and trends through monthly critical analysis reports.
  • Support sites in establishing and monitoring IMS objectives, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and training to site teams to ensure consistent application of IMS requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, standardization, operational discipline, and root cause problem solving.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address systemic challenges and improve organizational performance.
  • Audit contractor performance and ensure alignment with IMS expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, including OSHA, MSHA, and EPA standards, and ensure management system alignment with legal obligations.
  • Demonstrate and champion safe work practices, hazard recognition, and ethical conduct in all interactions.

 

 

What You Bring

 

 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience conducting internal and/or external audits; ISO auditing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, or similar regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, or improving ISO-certified management systems.
  • Training or certification related to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 50001 standards.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence stakeholders across a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and document control systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, mining, or other operational environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of energy management systems, sustainability initiatives, or environmental programs is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
