  • professional knowledge (2+ years)
    • transportation planning and execution processes at shipper and carrier side
    • transportation capacity management
    • transportation visibility tools / tracking & tracing
    • transportation document management (B/L, eVGM, etc.)
  • intermediate knowledge within
    • Transportation Management Systems
      • Oracle Transportation Management and/or
      • SAP Transportation Management
    • global trade / customs
    • transportation market intelligence
      • supplier/market structure
      • transportation market indicators (e.g. Baltic-Dry-Index, schedule reliability)

 

  • profound Microsoft Office skills
  • required languages: English & Madarine (very good/fluently)

About the job

 

  • As a global ocean trade expert you manage an ocean trade with > 7.000 TEU per year. You ensure that demand and allocation is balanced, additional allocation is provided by freight forwarders/ocean lines in case of overperformance, containers are sailing in-time and our sales force is regularly updated about the trade performance and trade developments. By implementing round-trip concepts, increasing container payload and reducing the number of non-targeted spot buys you will reduce the costs per ton for RHI Magnesita.

 

 

Your tasks will include:

  • balance ocean freight demand (3 month rolling forecast provided by forecasting experts) and space protected by global ocean contracts
  • hosting trade forums (sales, purchasing and finance)
  • TMS global key user
  • demurrage and detention monitoring
  • implementing new transportation routes and concepts
